Morning Session (10am -12pm) Dive into the world of theatrical puppetry! This interactive demonstration will explore the history and different styles of puppetry and how they relate to wider theatrical culture. We will also examine the motion of puppets and how influences from people, animals, and the materials used to make them can enhance their believability. Afternoon Session (1-3pm) In this hands-on puppet performance workshop, participants will have the opportunity to handle a broad selection of puppet types to see how to perform characters with them. Instruction will cover how to use character to inform movement, puppet to puppet interaction, and how to exaggerate emotions through the puppet.
