HG Choirs' Spring Concert

The CHOIR TOO (2nd through 4th grade singers) and the TREBLE CHOIR (5th through 8th grade singers) will present their Spring Concert on Sunday, May 19th at the First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro at 2:30pm.
The Treble Choir will be just returning from their spring tour to Maryland, where they are set to explore much about the area, including the history of Harriet Tubman’s Underground Railroad. A highlight of the Treble Choir’s musical program for the Spring Concert will include spirituals that were sung by American slaves for various purposes. The choir will share stories about the meanings of these songs, and what they learned about their origins while on the trip. The Choir Too will also perform a variety of pieces including Bach’s popular Bist du Bie Mir. The Treble Choir is under the direction of HG’s Artistic Director, Thomas Putnam, and Choir Too welcomes Laureen Davis Wolgemuth as its new musical director.
